This exceptional group of musicians come together  with a high spirited energy and fast paced intricate style that emphasizes virtuosity and improvisation at it’s best.

 

Robert Mabe grew up in North Carolina and was surrounded by many great bluegrass musicians. In fact, his grandfather was a guitar/bass player who also performed at The Grand Ole Opry. Listening to earl Scruggs, Bella Fleck, and all things bluegrass, he also became interested in many styles of music includingJazz,Irish and Blues. While learning banjo he sought out piano, guitar and sax teachers to translate thier styles to banjo. Robert has performed thousands of live shows across the US and abroad, in 2013 he was honored to play at Carnegie Hall,

 

Nate Clendeden is an American singer/songwriter , multi instrumentalist, and performer from the Eastern Sore of Maryland. Steeped in influences all across he board, his general roots extend deep into Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Over Clendenen’s 25 year career he has released 8 original recording projects, performed across all corners of the continental United States, The US Virgin Islands, Australia, and a bit of Brazil, Canada and Mexico.

 

John Lanehart  has gained notoriety for playing bass in various regional and national bluegrass bands.His love for bluegrass and Jazz music grew over time and Johny found himself moving to an upright bass named Carl, which he named after his grandfather who was also an upright bassist. Most recentlyJohn he’d a residency playing with the band Dreamcatcher on the “Moonshine Circuit” throughout the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee and greater Appalachia.

 

Garrett Wren grew up listening to his dad playing banjo and his and his uncle playing highland pipes, which helped expose him to a wide range of folk music. He studied under jazz mandolin master Don Stiernberg, Jethro Burn’s protege, and was highly influenced by modern mandolin players such as Matt Flinner. Garret placed 1st in the Watermelon ParkMandolin competition. He also placed 3rd in the national mandolin competition in Wakefield Kansas in 2015.
