John D’earth plays trumpet with a striking original sound a technique that he mobilizes for spitfire technique and Gripping melodiesA consummate jazz artist, composer and educator, he draws inspiration from the bandstand, for students and from nature. Internationally known for his contribution straight ahead jazz he exhibits omnivorous musical tastes including free improvisation , mainstream rock and modern classical music. The list of top flight musicians he has played with include Buddy Rich, Lionel HamptonMiles Davi/Quincy Jones at Montreaux, Tito Puente, Pat Matheny, John Scofield and Clark Terry.

 

Randall Pharr is an acoustic and electric bassist and has been an instructor at VCU and University of Virginia in Richmond. Randall has performed or recorded with acclaimed greats Clark Terry, Bob Moses, Charlie Bird, Bruce Hornsby, Charlie Haden and Carter Beauford, to name a few. He is known for his huge sound and walking bass and specializes in many genres of of American and Latin music.

 

Laura Ann Singh Is a multilingual American singer, recording arts and composer, often associated with music popular brasileira and Latin Boleros. She has performed internationally in Europe, Russian and South America. She is a founding member of Miramar and has performed  at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Elabash Concert Hall and globalFEST in NYC. She played in Paris and Lyon for the Les Nuit de la Fourvieve Festival.

 

Emre Katari is a musician and educator with over three decades in the world of jazz. Hailing from Ankara Turkey , Emre has been instrumental in promoting jazz music and education in his country. He has initiated state funded-jazz college degree programs Ankara State Conservatory, and Yasar University.

As an educator, Emre has held positions at James Madison University, College of William and Mary and is currently at Virginia Commonwealth University.

 

Garen Dorsey Is a jazz pianist who is known for his technical skill, innovative improvisation  and sheer passion for the music. Garen has played with numerous musicians including the John D’earth Quinet, Stephanie Nakasian,  Charles Owen and  JC Kuhl. He performed at the Mingus Awareness Project, The Frail Museum and the Paramount Theater.
